  1. Thank you for opening my mind. I really never gave any consideration to what might happen if and when the “BIG one” takes us by surprise. I just know I am not going to be worrying about it. Nor will I be listening to what anybody else has to say. But, I just might purchase an Earthquake Survival Kit and I might even look into getting a home insurance policy.

  2. I do have an earthquake kit in my garage. Hope the “big one” strikes so we can get it over with and go on without worrying about quakes.

  3. It is hard to be on ready all of the time. I think of the people that have little time to run from the raging fires. It is best to have supplies set up. Water, first aid kit, food, medicines, flash lights and candles, an emergency plan to contact friends and family, etc. lways know where your shoes and maybe clothes are and have working flashlights around the house. I went door to door to check on my neighborhood after the Northridge earthquake and the biggest mistake people did was that they were barefoot. Hopefully there have been improvements made to help us survive better. We need to be ready ourselves and know the terrain we are in be it home, work, on the street or freeway, etc. It does not hurt to know the exit doors anywhere you are…
